Change Agent. Speaker. Author. Mentor. Physical Therapist. Friend. Daughter. Sister.
These are a couple of words to describe Yeni, Founder of Yencko which was founded out of Yeni’s passion and purpose: to bring people to the will of God.
Change Agent. Author.
Growing up as a Pastors Kid aka “PK”, Yeni’s spiritual growth has grown over time because she’s experienced things that have led her to find who she is as an individual. “Being Christian doesn’t mean you have to be stuck up” Yeni says “you can still have a full, fun and enjoyable life.” This life foundation led to the conception of her devotional book, ‘Expressions of Destiny in Progress’.
Not everyone grew up in the church, so this devotional offers a starting point for those that want to connect or reconnect with God. An “Unconventional Guide” is how she describes the devotional. If you have the desire to know more about God, this book is for you.
Yeni also hosts global pop up Bible Study events. She’s held events in the USA, England and Nigeria! This was birthed from Yenis love for food. The purpose of the pop up events is to have real and candid conversations about God, life and things that people are experiencing. They are typically hosted in restaurants because, everyone may not come to church, but everyone has to eat! A collision of spiritual and social elements; her motto for the events comes from Oprah Winfrey “Give people what they want while also giving them what they need. Yep, she’s a mentor to. Yeni hosts mentorship programs for high school and college girls throughout the year. Not only is she helping them, but they also help her. She’s learned to always be open minded, you never know when or from whom the next inspiration will come from.
When asked what advice she would you give a girl, she said ”Dont doubt what drives you. Peer pressure may make you doubt yourself and will cause you to want to fit in. Step away from the noise and don’t doubt the voice inside you.” She also recommends that we, no matter how old or young, surround ourselves with people that are striving for greatness – in school, in career, in business , in faith – whatever stage you’re in, surround yourself with people that will push you to be better – and you be that person as well.
Daugher. Sister. Friend. Physical Therapist.
In the mist of her busy schedule, she also makes time for her family and friends. Her village, as she references them, encourages her to keep pushing and striving for more. They also let her know when it’s time to take a step back and relax, have fun and take time out for herself. “You make room for what’s important to you and over time, I’ve learned the power of saying No”
